About Us

Our aim is to advance spiritual, social and cultural activities, studies and performing arts in the wider communities in Bromley and Kent area to preserve and promote our culture and faith and to support hard-to-reach groups such as children/elderly, with the help of dedicated volunteers with community service ethos.

There is no Hindu Mandir in Bromley and adjoining areas such as West Wickham, Locksbottom, Petts-wood, Orpington, Sidcup and Mottingham etc, despite the fact that there are more than 5000 hindus in the locality but still there is nowhere in Bromley where hindus can visit for their spiritual needs.

Therefore to establish a Hindu Mandir and Cultural Centre, keeping faith, culture and traditional values at the heart, BTCA started an initiative in 2012 with a few families and sincere heartfelt thanks for immense support from so many of you, this has now evolved into a registered charity called Bromley Temple Trust (Regd. Charity# 1166773).

You may wish to check on the UK Charities commission website for more details on the charity and its annual reports https://register-of-charities.charitycommission.gov.uk/charity-search/-/charity-details/5079742

Your overwhelming support at public consultation, to emphasise that our community needs a specific venue for faith and cultural activities, underlines the importance of this project.
